Rudolf Nureyev still dancing at 52?
Yes, it's a phenomenon. But the man was born a phenomenon, as
the world has long since learned.
His appearance last night at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall,
together with six other dancers of diverse nationality, was billed as
the "Rudolf Nureyev Farewell Tour." This is, however, a blatant
contradiction in terms. Nureyev has said on many past occasions that
he wants to die dancing, and he's given us no reason to suspect a
change of heart...
