Jury finds Lucius guilty of robbery; He claimed it was a marijuana deal gone bad

Alfred L. Lucius said it was just a drug deal gone bad, that the
men he sold marijuana to were angry about the transaction and set him
up.
But the Dubuque County jury hearing the case this week didn't buy
it, and on Thursday convicted the 35-year-old man of two counts of
first-degree robbery. Each charge carries a 25-year prison sentence.
A judge will determine whether the terms run consecutively or
concurrently at Lucius' sentencing, which most likely will occur
within six to eight weeks.
