ST. DONATUS, Iowa - Joseph Weyland said St. Donatus reminded him
of home.
"Look at this countryside. It is similar to the south of
Luxembourg," he said of his homeland in Europe.
Immigrants to America settled in the area in the 1800s, he said,
and likely chose the landscape because of its similarity to their
homeland.
