Henry C. Megill Dies at 66; Founded Insurance Agency

Henry Carroll Megill, 66, the founder and owner of McLean
Insurance Agency Inc., died of cancer April 17 at Fairfax Hospital.
Mr. Megill, who lived in McLean, was born in Zagreb, Yugoslavia,
where his father was the U.S. consul. He grew up in Florida, Alabama
and Georgia and attended Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama for
two years before joining the Navy in World War II.
He became a naval aviator, then after the war received a law
degree at the University of Florida.
During the Korean War, Mr. Megill was recalled to active duty,
and he served as a navigator aboard the aircraft carrier ...
