Guns Are Not Toys
|
You have probably heard stories about children being hurt or
killed by guns. The stories are shown on the TV news and appear in
the newspaper. Sometimes, they report on kids who shoot other kids
by accident. "I was only fooling around, I didn't know the gun was
loaded," someone will say. "I didn't mean to do it."
Often, the children involved in these tragic incidents find a gun
hidden in a drawer or a closet. It's hard to tell if the gun has
bullets in it or not.
To little kids, the weapon looks like a toy. But it's not. And
