Dubuque to annex 704 acres; A state board must OK plan
|
Barring a denial by state authorities, Dubuque will soon grow by
about 704 acres to its immediate west.
The Dubuque City Council unanimously approved a plan Monday to
annex about 704 acres, along Middle Road, extending just west of
Seippel Road and north of Asbury Road.
The approval followed a public hearing held during the council's
regular meeting.
Dubuque officials expect the state's City Development Board to
consider the plan on Feb. 12 in Des Moines. Then the state board
would hold a public hearing on the plan in Dubuque, possibly on March
10.
