Morning Smile; Dummy makes would-be rescuers feel like dummies

GIBBON, Neb. (AP) - A sheriff's officer and other residents tried
to save a man falling off a ladder as he hung Christmas lights - only
to be politely told not to bother.
After all, Cathy Pierce explained, it's only a dummy she dressed
up in her husband's coveralls, boots and gloves.
Cathy and George Pierce have hung the dummy up every year for 10
years. He appears to be hanging from the roof with half a string of
lights up and the other half trailing to the ground.
