Blanchard asks court to review caucus investigation; Ruling: District attorney wonders if there is a conflict of interest on his part

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard
asked Wednesday that the judge presiding over his secret
investigation into illegal campaign activity at the Capitol
investigate whether he has a conflict of interest and should be
removed from the probe.
Blanchard said he asked for the investigation because he has
received new information that his 2000 campaign for district attorney
may have benefited from state resources. But he also said he believed
