WHITTIER -Incumbents Bob Henderson and Greg Nordbak and challenger Arthur Rock took out nomination papers Monday for the April 11 City Council election.

Monday was the first day for candidates to take out and/or file nomination papers. They have until 5 p.m. Jan. 13 to return the signatures of at least 20 Whittier registered voters.

In addition to two four-year seats at stake, there will be a separate race for an unexpired two-year term, a post now held by Councilman Doug Lopez.

Both Henderson and Nordbak said they took out their papers Monday to let everyone know they're running.
