PCC center offers way to high school diploma
|
PASADENA - Three years ago, Michelle Ann Pavila dropped out of
high school during her senior year after realizing she was pregnant.
Pavila moved from El Paso, Texas, to the Southland in search of
better job opportunities, eventually settling in Pasadena to be near
her mother, who was undergoing treatment for cancer at City of Hope
in Duarte.
The experience inspired Pavila to pursue nursing as a profession,
so she decided to enroll in Pasadena City College Community Education
