Today, the 9th of November, marks an interesting anniversary in the Christian community and in the history of Western religion. On Nov. 9, 324, one of the then largest churches was dedicated in the city of Rome, one of the first large public Christian buildings since the end of persecutions by the Roman Empire in A.D. 311. This is the basilica of St. John, known today as San Giovanni in Laterno in modern day Rome.
