Glen Burnie West: Eagle lauded at Court of Honor

Boy Scout Troop 873 honored its most recent Eagle Scout, Thomas Edward Redmond, at a Court of Honor Saturday at Ferndale United Methodist Church.

Mr. Redmond, a senior a Glen Burnie High School, oversaw the construction of a deck on the office trailer at the county fairgrounds in Crownsville. It took 220.5 volunteer hours to construct the deck by Scouts from Troop 873 and Mr. Redmond's friends and family.

Mr. Redmond first became involved in Scouting as a Cub Scout. He earned the ranks of Bear, Wolf, Webelos, as well as earning the Arrow of Light, the highest award in Cub Scouting.
