County officials have said they knew nothing about a 6,000-square- foot home built on a Magothy River island without proper permits, but county tax records tell a different story.

At least a portion of the home, owned by Daryl Wagner of Wagner Homes in Millersville, was built on Little Dobbins Island in 2003, making way for $581,280 worth of improvements on the island, according to county tax records.
