'Celtic' refers to language

In recent years there have been several examples of the word Celtic being used in a very casual way. It is worthwhile recalling that Celtic is primarily a linguistic term and includes a range of present day languages such as Scottish Gaelic, Irish Gaelic, Welsh and Cornish. The ancient British language, spoken at one time throughout much of the British Isles, was also a Celtic language.
