Miss Horatius Charges to Pimlico Win

Miss Horatius collared Tiny Grasshopper to win the $14,500 Everget Purse by a nose yesterday at Pimlico in Baltimore.

Miss Horatius, ridden by apprentice Calixto Juarez, rallied on the rail through the stretch and finished the six furlongs in 1:12 1/5. She returned $7.80.

Tiny Grasshopper, the slight favorite in the field of six 3-year-old fillies, finished 3 3/4 lengths in front of Donna Lynn's Game.

Today's feature race, the $50,000 Broad Brush Handicap, for 3-year-olds and up, will pit stakes winners Wind Splitter, with jockey Michael Luzzi, and Reputed Testamony, with Andrea Seefeldt ...
