For Arthur, Camp Is a Welcome Break

No one deserves a respite from urban life more than children who
live in homeless shelters. This summer, several dozen children from
shelters will spend time in the Virginia countryside as part of our
annual Send a Kid to Camp campaign. My associate, Dawn Fallik,
interviewed a camp-bound shelter dweller last week. Her report:
Arthur Handon acts as if the living is easy. Yet life in a homeless
shelter is anything but for this roly-poly 12-year-old with an easy
grin. This summer, for the first time, he'll get a break from his
troubles as he heads for Camp Moss Hollow, near Markham, Va.
