IF games could be won on paper then Buccaneers should avoid the journey to Clontarf for tomorrow's other AIL Division One semi- final. The evidence to back Clontarf's progress is compelling.

The north Dublin side finished top of the league after only losing twice throughout the campaign - both occasions away from the impregnable Castle Avenue at Ballymena and Belfast Harlequins.

Clontarf also managed to concede fewer points (235 over 15 games) than anyone else and in doing so won 11 straight games. Indeed, Buccs were put to the sword in this impressive run, going down 32-17 at Castle Avenue ...
