Mother and son field supreme cow

IN the cattle rings mother and son team Mary and Ian Collins were
overall winners at the Halifax Show.
Their Dairy Shorthorn entry Churchroyd Lady Barrington is due with
her fifth calf in October after giving almost 11,000 litres of milk
in her last lactation. Earlier in the day she had taken interbreed
honours.
Earlier this year the home- bred cow took breed and reserve
interbreed honours at the Great Yorkshire and was breed leader and
interbreed winner at Emley.
Last year she picked up a total of 10 championships for the
family's 120 cow milking herd ...
