Abbey stages TV wedding finale

THE ancient ruins of Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire will
provide the backdrop for an emotional climax to one of ITV's most
successful dramas of recent years.
The final episode of the latest series of Fat Friends will be
screened next week, and the 12th century abbey will be the setting
for the wedding of two of the Leeds-based drama's main characters -
Lauren Harris and Paul Thompson, played by Gaynor Faye and Paul
Warriner.
Filming at the National Trust-owned abbey took place during four
days last August, and the last episode of the fourth series will be
screened on ITV1 next ...
