A ROW has erupted over the decision to give the highest-paid job
in a South Yorkshire council's history to a New Zealander with no
experience of working in local government in the UK.
Doncaster Council yesterday rubber stamped the appointment of
Susan Law as the new [Pounds]140,000-a-year managing director.
New Zealander Ms Law is currently a strategy advisor at the city
of Cape Town in South Africa and was the former chief executive of
the city of Adelaide in Australia. She has also worked extensively in
her home country.
