White Sox Roll the Dice, Reach Agreement with Bo Jackson

The Chicago White Sox today joined Bo Jackson in insisting that the reports of his demise as a baseball player are premature. The team announced that it has signed the ailing outfielder to a contract that could cover the next three years and contended that Jackson should be ready to play again by the 1992 season - at the latest.

The one-year deal, with club options for 1992 and 1993, could be worth as little as $700,000 or as much as $8.15 million over three years, plus bonuses.
