Yorkshire next as wind farms approved

Plans for four new North Sea wind farms have been given the go- ahead - raising expectations of interest in the area set aside for similar development off Yorkshire.

The Government yesterday gave the go-ahead for two wind farms of up to 30 turbines each to be built off Skegness, Lincolnshire; one off Cromer, Norfolk; and one off Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. All will be at least three miles from shore.
