According to "Jordan Times", driven by progressive liberalization and ensuing competition in key economic sectors, as well as the launch of new media outlets, advertising expenditure registered a record growth of 34 per cent in 2005, the industry announced. According to Sharif Abukhadra, president of the Jordan Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA), advertising expenditure jumped from $121 million in 2004 to $162 million in 2005, confirming an upward trend witnessed over the past five years.
