Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Md., is being awarded a $30,395,531 completion-type, research and development contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing to develop a complete prosthetic upper extremity with full motor and sensory function, equivalent to a normal human arm and will include research areas such as neural control, sensory input, advanced mechanics and actuators, and prosthesis design and integration.
