SIX MORE UNITS TO BECOME OPERATIONAL IN MAJOR POWER PLANTS

According to "Tehran Times", Deputy Energy Minister for
electricity affairs Mohammad Ahmadian said that six more units will
be operational in Damavand, Hormuzgan, Karun and Sahand power plants
by end of the current Iranian year falling on March 20, 2006.
Ahmadian said the units will generate a total of 1,500 megawatts of
electricity. He hoped that Parand and Orumieh power plants will also
be operational by summer this year despite financial limitations. He
