BACK in the `90s, the nation was pleasantly shaken when a group of pretty

teenage girls took the music industry by storm.

They were called Feminin, the first local girl-rap band.

Their songs Untukmu and Kini became major hits and their popularity

even made them the first girl band to bring home an Anugerah Industri

Muzik (AIM) award in 1994.

Though Feminin achieved fame, the girls were often criticised as not

having any singing talent.

Indeed some of their live performances were disappointing.

Still, Feminin was idolised by many teenage girls who copied their

hairstyles, make-up, clothing, ...
