HIGH jumper Loo Kum Zee is hopeful that a proposed trip to Germany
becomes a reality despite the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
(SARS) outbreak.
Otherwise, Kum Zee - arguably the nation's most consistent
performer in track and field - has to stay focused by competing in
local meets as he prepares for two major assignments - the Asian
Championships in Manila in September and the Vietnam SEA Games in
December.
Uncertainties surround the fate of the competition in Manila as
the Philippines have become the seventh country to be included in the
