HEALTH chiefs have moved to quash fears that there has been a case of rubella in Darlington.

Television reports that there had been a case of the disease at George Dent Nursery in the town have been played down by Dr Deb Wilson, consultant in communicable disease control.

She said: "There is no one with a confirmed case of rubella at that nursery."
