Stow girls get their chance to play

Junior girls' rugby has arrived in the North Cotswolds thanks to Stow-on-the-Wold setting up two teams for the Under-15s and Under- 18s.

It is the only club in the area offering girls rugby at junior level, and with an increasing number of girls playing at minis, the club were keen to give young girls a chance, and the response has been positive.

"For now the Stow girls section is concentrating on training and the development of core skills, but it is planned that later in the season some matches will be arranged so that the girls can put their new-found skills to the test," said Dick ...
