Breakfast with Mark Morris starts at 2 p.m. with a
cheeseburger, onion rings and a seltzer. Not quite awake yet, he
holds court at the Stage Deli restaurant before a rehearsal,
dutifully poses for photos and then gets to talking about his dance
company's recent six-week stay here. It was an intense period.
While teaching choreography workshops for four weeks, Morris created
two major pieces that he taught his own dancers - and one special
