Fresh court martial over alleged brawl on board HMS Cornwall

A navy comrade of the personnel taken hostage by Iran faces a fresh court martial over allegations that she punched her ex- girlfriend and another female sailor in the face in a drunken attack.

Former Steward First Class Chelsea Johnson, 19, denied two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, during a court martial at HMS Nelson in Portsmouth, yesterday.

One of the alleged victims, Petty Officer Katy Wells, was due to give her evidence from aboard Devonport-based frigate HMS Cornwall - the ship at the centre of the recent hostage saga.
