Long-distance suitcase turns up on beach

A westcountry woman has told how her suitcase travelled 1,000
miles by land and sea - only to be washed up on Branscombe beach
just three miles from her home.
Sidmouth waitress Marilyne Simony had packed the case and sent it
off to her boyfriend in South Africa.
But last week the 27-year-old could see the container ship
grounded a mile from her home, unaware that one of the containers had
her suitcase inside.
