Sea creatures are not on the usual list of patients for a
radiographer but Snorkel, a loggerhead turtle, has proved an
exception.
Staff at the National Marine Aquarium (NMA) in Plymouth became
concerned when they noticed the giant turtle seemed to be suffering
from epileptic fits.
After they called in a radiographer, Snorkel, who weighs about
60kg, was transported to a mobile X-ray unit for examination.
Neil Pierce, of NPV Diagnostics in Tavistock, West Devon, who is
one of just a handful of veterinary radiographers in the country,
