Their vivid colours and unusual shapes make it hard to believe
that these eye-catching creatures were photographed living in
Westcountry waters.
They might seem like the sort of thing you would imagine finding
in tropical or exotic waters but, to the knowledgeable diver, they
are quite familiar residents along the region's coastline.
And for those who have never ventured into the depths of the sea,
these photographs illustrate the stunning world that is developing on
the artificial reef HMS Scylla.
