Bank backs research into cutting carbon emissions
|
The Royal Bank of Scotland revealed yesterday it was to back a
Scottish study to assess the feasibility of storing carbon dioxide in
coal beds - only two weeks after it came under fire over carbon
emissions.
The project was announced by Johnny Cameron, RBS director and
chief executive of RBS Corporate Markets, at the bank's sixth annual
North Sea conference in Aberdeen.
RBS is an investor in Stirling company Composite Energy, a
developer of methane gas production from coal beds....
