Suffolk sheep from Aberdeenshire lead way at Shrewsbury national sale

Suffolk sheep from Aberdeenshire had some of the best trade at the breed's national sale in Shrewsbury.

The day's best price of 9,000gn was got by Turriff's Robbie Wilson, of North Dorlaithers, while the best average was secured by father and son George and Melvin Stuart, of Milltown of Birness, Ellon.

There were 133 ram lambs sold to average pounds938, up pounds106 on the year but 17 fewer rams were traded. John Swan auctioneer Richard Henderson said there was a sound commercia...
