Buddhist monk's son 'content' in Aberdeen

A Buddhist monk in traditional robes watched proudly as his son graduated yesterday.

It was the first time in Aberdeen for Koyo Izumi, who has his own temple in Japan.

His son, Hironari, said: "He is not such a person to be afraid to go into different cultures. Buildings made of stones and granite seem very strange and different to us, but we can appreciate them."
