Bowleven gets its man as cairn finance chief to step up

Scottish oil and gas explorer BowLeven saw its shares climb yesterday after it announced the appointment of Kevin Hart as its new chief executive to succeed Philip Rhind, who it sacked for alleged gross misconduct in February.

Mr Hart, 37, will join from Scottish FTSE 100 oil and gas company Cairn Energy, where he has been finance director for more than eight years.

News of the appointment came as Mr Rhind demanded that a report he prepared after his departure from BowLeven should not be shelved because the issues it contained were too serious to be ignored, and shareholders had a right to ...
