RANGERS are not the only Scottish team who have been taught a
lesson by AZ Alkmaar this season. The provincial Dutch side, who
helped knock the Ibrox club out of the Uefa Cup last month, take on
NEC Breda this Friday to mark their return from a winter break spent
in the Spanish resort of Cadiz, basking in their lead over Holland's
big three - PSV Eindhoven, Ajax and Feyenoord - in the Eredivisie
table. They may only top the table on goals scored, but the club's
successes are already enough to make Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen blush.
