WHEN the Lionheart consortium first signed the management
agreement with administrators Kroll to run Livingston FC, Pearse
Flynn offered a bonus for players and staff to finish in the top six.
Manager Allan Preston asked instead if one was available simply for
staying in the SPL.
Although it still appears likely the protracted negotiations
involving the consortium will be concluded by midMarch, thereby
sidestepping a 10point penalty, Preston's request appears
increasingly prescient.
