SINGAPORE, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore on Wednesday suspended
import of all poultry and poultry products from neighboring Malaysia following
bird flu virus was detected at a poultry farm in Kelantan near the Thai-Malaysia
border. According to a statement by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority
of Singapore (AVA), the ban covers not just chickens but also ducks and
all eggs.
