At some summer camps, kids go swimming, hiking or horseback riding. But
Fa'Yola Poindexter built a robot.

Fa'Yola, a student at the Detroit Academy of Arts and Science Medbury (an
Edison Charter school), was among 43 ninth and tenth graders who
participated in a week-long engineering-related camp for girls at the
University of Detroit Mercy.
