APIA, Samoa, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- French Polynesia gained its observer
status Thursday of the Pacific Islands Forum in Apia, capital of Samoa.

Helen Clark, Prime Minister of New Zealand, also 34th Forum Chair,
