In its last regular meeting, the Central Executive Council of the
Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia was surprised and sorry to
learn of the Proclamation published on April 2, 2004 by the Supreme
Spiritual Council. The Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia has
always aspired to carry out the examination of issues of concern to the
church and nation by means of correspondence and meetings between the two
pontiffs and the responsible bodies of the Catholicate of All Armenians and
the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia. Our Holy See has adopted
