The Church of the Incarnation was filled to capacity yesterday when
hundreds of relatives and friends paid their last respect to pioneer
Miamian Fletcher Alonzo Paschal, Jr. who died May 11 after suffering a
heart attack at Cedars Medical Center. He was 82.

A quiet, laid back person, Paschal made numerous friends during his many
years in Miami as a educator, musician and church leader.

Coming to Miami with his parents in 1925 from Shellman, GA, Paschal became
an active participant in the community.

He studied music with the late Robert Young under the Works Progress
