MALAYSIA has agreed to the establishment of a Chair of Malay Studies at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that a candidate for the job would be identified soon.
Announcing this at a seminar on China-Malaysia Friendship at the university, Abdullah said there was increased interest among Chinese students to learn Bahasa Melayu.
