While over 4,000 descendants of Africans who suffered and were lost in the
trans-Atlantic slave trade convened Feb. 29 in the Grand Olympic Auditorium
near downtown L.A. to hear Nation of Islam leader Min. Louis Farrakhan's
take on reparations, many descendants of those who facilitated and profited
from the horror celebrated the film industry across town in Hollywood at
the 76th Annual Academy Awards.
