Fed: WWI Zeebrugge mission remembered
In 1918, two days before Anzac Day, Australians took part in one of the most daring
raids of World War I. AAP Defence Correspondent Max Blenkin looks back on the Zeebrugge
mission.

CANBERRA, April 23 AAP - Three days before Anzac Day 1918, an armada of vessels slipped
silently from British ports for what the participants were assured was a great and worthy
adventure from which they shouldn't expect to return alive.
