Qld: Three men charged with chatroom offences

Three Townsville men have been charged with attempting to make sexual contact with
a minor through an internet chatroom.

The men were arrested after a local police and Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC)
operation targeting paedophilia in chatrooms.

Under new laws introduced in Queensland last May, it is illegal to procure a child
under the age of 16 for sexual purposes ...
