Elroy ''Crazylegs'' Hirsch, a Hall of Fame receiver for the Los Angeles Rams' high-powered offenses of the early 1950's, died Wednesday at an assisted-living facility in Madison, Wisconsin. He was 80. His death was reported by the University of Wisconsin, where he starred as a halfback in the early 1940's and later served as athletic director.
